This has a $300,000 budget. The same as the new Queenstown Plaza. The new Owairaka park cost just over $100,000. This is intended to be the replacement for Vic Park, scheduled to be demolished in Janurary 2010. There's been no consultation whatsoever with our community. They're telling us what's right when they have no idea. The scary part is they've just put up the fence to start building.

Email this dude and tell him to stop. We need Jason Parkes to give us our own city park. There won't be another one built for years if this proceeds. Please kick up a fuss, and tell your friends to do so as well. This simply cannot happen.
